My nieces still buy annual passes. I think they’d live in the park if they could figure out how to do it. One of them used to work at Circle D with the horses before she got a real job.
When Arte Moreno threatened to move the Angels out of Anaheim, Disney was right behind him with a check in hand to buy Angel Stadium. They want the land for a third park. It would connect to the other two with monorails or something similar. The two current parks are at full capacity nearly all the time, which is one reason they can keep increasing ticket prices.
Precisely, and this is basic capitalism. As long as the parks are at near 100% capacity; the gate prices are still below what the market will bear. They could double or triple prices, and still fill the parks. Unfortunately this is the reality of the situation.
It is a bank account emptier to go now. We picked the perfect day to go a couple weeks ago with the drizzly morning and cool temps, hardly any lines. But hard to justify spending that kind of money in one day.
