I guess you mean congrats to the guy who wrote this thread :)
I agree. But i think it’s more like 10 percent that are needed.
That’s terrible.
And since I felt food was more important than serving our country after 9/11, I can’t talk about military folk.
I went to sign up in NYC after 9/11
5 11, 240 Too heavy
Tried but food was my master.
But geez, take a guy who’s 240 but strong and get him in shape, no?
i dont know
I checked it out back then to see if there was something I could get into to help the effort, but...just a bit too old for anything.
The militarys weight requirements make no sense. Instituted by morons. Dont take it too personally.
In the Canadian military, if you can pass a basic physical test, you can get in, then they’ll go full beast on you (depending on trade). I saw a few guys in the infantry that had gotten beat into shape quick. After basic, once you get to battle school, there is not much room for the extra weight. It tends to shed very quickly. Mind you, of the 30 or so guys who would start, not many would finish. We ended with 12 out of 40.
I tend to have a hard stance on some things, and it’s partly the army’s fault. I may have gotten a little too hard by the time I got out heh, so my ways of coming across to folks can often be abrasive. It’s just how I am.
