Pinging the list.
Nothing going on in Connecticut, cold with snow cover. Walked around the
gardens and wished them well. But soon they will be comfortable as the temperature is going to rise. Looking forward to a wonderful Spring, but it is only February.
Snow and cold here. So, normal weather. Thinking I had better start a few tomatoes and some peppers right quick. Garlic went in when it should have, so that should be OK. Hope my poor peach tree will yield one last time this upcoming fall while I get a new one established. It LOOKS like it is hanging in there ...
When I went outside this afternoon, checked all the plants which are under a cover of leaves. There are a few new shoots emerging in the violet bed and one lone purple pansy. Indoors, sowed Snapdragon seeds from last year’s crop and also a new to me lettuce, Silvia. It is a red and white romaine from Burpee’s Organic seeds. They were sowed on February 5th and have already sprouted. So eager for them to mature. Temperatures today were in the 70’s but the weather report says we will be back to normal winter temperatures by tomorrow night. It has been raining also, something we don’t need too much of.
