Words have many purposes beyond simply passing information. It’s rather like a car. Some people find it adequate to have one that gets them from A to B. Some people REALLY care about the experience of getting from A to B. But what you want out of the experience varies widely by the person. Jamestown and I probably enjoy similar things in sounds and rhythms. This is, of course, after we pass the required information through the words. But I’m guessing that you enjoy finding power in words. Making them hit hard and having each one count to the greatest extent it can. Less into the pleasure of the words than the power of the words. But then you might really like to drive a Prius. I’m just guessing. Affectionately. Personally, until we got too old, husband and I were sports car people. I like my words to be nimble and quick but, hopefully, avoiding the candlestick.

It’s not sounds or rhythms or anything that registers through the senses, entirely. After it goes through the mental gyrations, it’s ultimately something that hits you in the solar plexus. For lack of a better term, it’s a FEELING - but it’s gone a long way to get there.
