Thank you SO much for this post. You have described my experiences on Q threads with uncanny accuracy. From the very beginning I’ve received alternately a high and mighty condescension—with the supposed experts telling me I have no grasp of the subject matter—alternating with insults, slurs, lies, smears and never-ending ad hominem. The pure, unmitigated nastiness has been off the charts. [There are two Q-believers whose posts I refuse to even read any more. Their name-calling and OTT hostility is out of control. Sadly we don’t have an Ignore option, so I’ve had to start skipping down to the bottom of the post before I read it. If it’s from one of the two confirmed haters, I skip the post in its entirety and move on. ]
What I’ve done to earn all this condescension and verbal abuse is post facts. The facts I initially posted about Q were so utterly unknown by his most perfervid supporters that I got alternately corrected or lambasted for posting them. The denial of these facts continued in some quarters for weeks on end, despite itsf being painfully easy to fact-check the claims and find out they’re all true. [Exactly two Q-believers did fact-check them and admit I was right. For the rest, either ignoring the evidence or smearing me were the preferred reactions.]
I come onto these threads to have rational, logical, fact-based discussions. I don’t name-call or insult. I attempt to engage. Is the Q phenomenon such that the only people you all are capable of having civil discussions with fellow Q-believers? If that’s the case, why haven’t you lobbied as a group for Caucus status? If it’s not the case, then you need to direct your comments to your fellow believers. They are the purveyors of insults and ad hominem, not I.
[Btw, no one has explained what crime I committed by mentioning the Alex Jones/Bannon theory re Q. The person who made the strongest case that Q is AJ is a huge fan of both Jones and Q. He thought the idea of Jones assuming an incognito persona was a stroke of genius as well as a massive help to POTUS. So I took what is considered Q-supportive/positive speculation from a different site and posted it here, and all I get is, “Troll, troll, TROLL!” On the surface, at least, it makes it look as if consistency is not the essence of Q-belief.]
Yes, Fantasywriter, there IS an ignore option on FR. you already know you find Q threads useless twaddle. Ignore the entire thread. Stay off of them. Avoid them. Avoid the aggravation they obviously cause you. Avoid those two posters! See. . . Problem solved.
Coming onto a thread you have no liking for populated by people you repeatedly show both disdain and contempt and receive the same in return does you nothing of benefit and you’re providing nothing of benefit to the thread. Are you a masochist that you enjoy being the unwanted skunk at the picnic? You’ve tossed out insults to anyone and everyone who disagrees with you. You act rudely in this thread and attack people but have offered nothing but ridicule. Is it any wonder you and those like you are not welcome.
As for Caucus Status, we don’t want it. That is something advocated always by the opponents who claim its necessary so people of like minds can be kept away from others to PROTECT the sane people. It’s a walled garden. If you don’t like these threads, the solution is easy, Fanyasy, STAY OUT! Quit being rude to the participants.
Alex Jones/Bannon theory. No crime, but neither of them have the insider access for some of the posts. I could possibly find a thread where some people are debating whether Q is Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny and it would have as much validity as the Jones/Bannon theory because neither theory fits the known facts of Q’s postings and timelines. That’s why it was ignored and/or dismissed out of hand.
Now, if you want to participate without the arrogant chip on your shoulder, fine. Give that a try. But leave the attitude that you know your fellow Freepers are idiots at the door. They’re not. Take Grey_whiskers for example, he’s a scientist, and a damn good one, and a damn logical thinker as well. He’s nobody’s fool. There are others as well. Ex cathedral pronouncements of your mere opinion will not get you much.
