I had a late 50’s Morris Oxford. One time approaching a stop light I began applying the brakes which promptly went straight to the floor. Still rolling unimpeded I pulled the emergency brake which broke off in my hand As a last resort I opened the door and dragged my foot for a just in time stop. After that, no more British shit for me.

A 3-liter in-line 6 through that dual exhaust system sounded beautiful if you ignored the crunching sound when it bottomed out. The exhaust was only about 3 inches off the ground.
Like the old Fiat 2000 Spyder, another fun to drive but troublesome car. The exhaust systems on them hung so low the dealers wouldn't honor the warranties if they were driven in NYC. My uncle had one and learned the hard way what FIAT really stands for, Fix It Again, Tony.
