Film footage from an early Movietone camera team showing everyday life in New York City during 1929 (pre-Crash). I got a mild case of vertigo just watching the guys plastering the side of the Chrysler Building. Note how well dressed everybody seems to be. Appx 15 minutes

FWIW, I passed along heterosupremacist link to the suggested video clip in comment #19 which then auto loaded the next video of interviews done in 1929.
Check out this fascinating interview of a spunky 94 year old woman in 1929. In the video she describes a memory she had as a three year old child (1838) witnessing the removal of red skinned Indians to Indian territory.
She was quite the character . . .
