My daughter and I were listening to a bunch of varying music on this pretty afternoon while out and about. Some Beatles thrown in, too, as we are both fans.
I was reminded of this video I came across a few months ago. I have just about zero musical ability, but I enjoy music hugely, and I also enjoy watching about music talk. I find this video fun and interesting.
Then move on to Harrison (and Lennon).
Bookmarking for when I have more time. Big George Harrison fan!
EVIL what you did there. Pure EVIL.
Love is blind. Must be deaf, too.
Fun Facts;
A. None of The Beatles could read or write music in the traditional way. George Martin and other pros would listen then transcribe their songs.
B. Till There Was You, written by Meredith Wilson for musical
The Music Man. Sung by Shirley Jones and Peggy Lee before Paul McCartney performed it with great skill and modulation. Ringo played the bongoes.
Guitar techniques....lolol
3 chords.
Did I mention I hate the beatles. No reason...;)
Ten shots fired and she didn’t have a scratch!
“Love is blind. Must be deaf, too.”
Did they use Yoko recordings at Gitmo? If not, they should have.
STFU.....Arrrrrgg
You see that pic and immediately lennon loses whatever “genius” status assigned to him.
Ten bucks says that you hate the Patriots too.
thanks for the link,
McCartney is a better guitarist than Harrison or Lennon. That's him soloing on Taxman, also compare the solos on "The End", Paul's smokes George's.
Whatever, dude.
“As a child of the 60’s I encourage you and your daughter to first focus on the guitar techniques of Hendrix...and then move on to Clapton and Page.”
Then move on to stevie ray vaughan. Which is where I tried to get to before I gave up the guitar for good.
Most of their songs were more than three chords, not that there is anything wrong with a three chord song.
“Ten bucks says that you hate the Patriots too.”
The football team? Nope.
