(Meredith) – The owner of a Chick-Fil-A in North Dakota has apologized after a mother claims the restaurant kicked her out for breastfeeding without a cover.
Macy Hornung said she was nursing her child at a Fargo Chick-Fil-A when the franchise owner approached her Saturday evening. She said the owner asked her to cover up or leave the restaurant.
“I was showing no more than the upper portion of my breast, barely more than what was visible in my shirt, and (she) asked me to cover,” Hornung wrote on Facebook. “I tried to explain that I couldn’t because my baby refuses to be covered.”
The mom said the owner also reminded her that men and children were dining at the restaurant.
“I said they could practice the simple art of looking away… She told me if I chose not cover, then she would have to ask me to leave,” Hornung wrote.
Instead of complying with the owner’s request, Hornung decided to pack up her things and leave. Her husband, Casey Hornung, said he was outraged over the incident.
"I was angry for the words that woman spoke,” he told WDAY-TV. “I was angry at the way my wife was treated. I was worried about her, and how she was feeling.”
The couple shared their story on Facebook when they returned home, and the post quickly went viral.
Hundreds of people who sided with the mom left bad reviews on the restaurant’s Facebook page and gave the location one-star ratings.

Yep, given Chick-Fil-A’s reputation for having normal social values, I have little doubt this sweathog deliberately staged the “exhibition” at that particular restaurant simply to bring what she thought would be bad PR to CFA.
Maybe not the last, but someday soon. I can hope.
Now that you mention it, her decision to make a scene on the Interwebs rather than be considerate of others proves your point.
I think the restaurant was in the wrong. But leaving a bad review because of this is just stupid. The actions of one franchise owner regarding one incident should not be the be all and end all of a restaurant.
What does this have to do with her appearance? And why is it necessary at all to denigrate them? She was not vying to enter a beauty contest. She was not demanding she be allowed to model high fashion. She was nursing her child. How the heck does her appearance figure into that?
Yes because only model thin, beautiful, glamorous woman should be allowed in public let alone to nurse their children. What is this recent crap about putting down woman for their appearance when their appearance has no issue with the news about them?
She states she was not uncovered and totally exposed. According to her only the top part of her breast was visible. Which is plenty modest since you will see more than that if some woman came in wearing a bikini top.
It must be time consuming to divide the whole of the opposite sex into who would raise your gadget and who wouldn’t.

Not nonsense. Many babies do not like to be covered while breast feeding. This does not make nursing them immodest. But you are certainly free to eat all your meals under cover of a blanket and learn to like it if you wish.

Yeah because that is just like nursing an infant. What kind of mind thinks exposing the public to feces is just like exposing them to a woman’s cleavage as she nurses her infant?
