All the auto companies went ‘BIG’, even Toyota, Nissan and Honda.
They forgot that not everybody needs a big truck.
Ford remembered, now they have the niche to themselves............
Isnt the Chevy Colorado a smaller truck?
Honda does NOT have a BIG truck.
It’s a ‘midsize’ and it works/drives/handles better than any other midsize.
Toyota has a full size truck, not Honda.

No they don’t. They are almost LAST in this niche. Ever hear of Tacoma, Frontier, Colorado, Canyon?
My 2010 Tundra with the 4.6l and 34" tires leaves the 6 speed transmission always hunting for the right gear.
My choice would be a small pickup with a 4cyl. diesel and a 6 speed manual transmission. Any manufacturer listening?
.
They could have gone retro and had a huge success, but they blew it, just like they blew it on the mustang when they started radically restyling it.
No smarts at all anymore.
Growing up I have at one point or another owned a '79 Toyota pickup, '89 Mazda B2000, '90 Ranger, and a '96 Nissan hardbody. All of them were what were known as compact pickups. Perfect for what I needed in a truck.
Nobody makes these things anymore. Today I drive a '15 Tacoma. I love it but compared to my old trucks, it's just massive. Way more than what I need in a pickup.
