One of their classics " Blottohttps://youtu.be/kHMEyAVym9g" Enjoy
“The Music Box.” One of my favorites!
“Tit for Tat”...is another..the light bulbs
That’s one of their most charming scenes. They are one of my favorites of the great comedians - although it is tough to choose from.
Tit for Tat has one of my favorite of their villains, Charlie Hall. He’s married to that hussy Mae Busch.
Thanks! :-)
You can still see that staircase between 923 and 925 N Vendome St, Los Angeles
I have been there!
For me, it's "the boys" and the Marx Brothers...when talking about the best of the best comedians...ever.
Do you like the L&H musicals? I adore them!
Oh dear...they colorized it. *tie twiddle* :-(
...funny stuff tho..
Mrs Laurel...WOW!
Thanks for posting this. I LOVE Laurel and Hardy, I have the boxed dvd set and watch them quite often. My little boy loves them, too. They never fail to make me smile.
I have loved The Marx Brothers all my life...they were big when I was a teenager in the early 70s, and am now just discovering L&H...what fantastic talent. Dick Van Dyke does a very good Stan Laurel.
I like all of their movies. Some of course are greater than others. Their silents are brilliant as well. I’m not a particular fan of Babes in Toyland, though.
Should you care to read the best books about L&H, get the ones written by John McCabe; he was an original member of TSOTD and THE recognized authority on the team, as well as Mr. Laurel and Mr. Hardy, separately. He was a founding member, along with Orson Bean ( Andrew Breiutbart's f-i-l ) and some others.
After many decades of waiting to see FRA DIAVOLO ( THE DEVIL'S BROTHER, which had been lost for a very long time, then a copy found and shown on TCM ), I have to admit that I was disappointed.
My favorite, of their musicals is BOHEMIAN GIRL.
I like BABES IN TOYLAND, but it does rankle, at how the Victor Herbert original was messed about with.
Yes, their silents and even the ones with hardy, on his own, are fantastic!
Right?...1933...
One of my favorite scenes from “Swiss Miss” was Laurel trying to outwit a Saint Bernard for the brandy barrel that it carried. I also adore the dog!
