If you’re as old as me you would remember a 1970 movie called “WUSA”. It starred flaming liberal Paul Newman and depicted small town America in the worst possible light.
The WUSA in the film was a `far right wing’ John Birch Society mouthpiece radio station. Nothing but stereotypes.

Depending on what month it came out I was either 1 or 2 :)
But I’ve seen LOTS of movies from the 60s on.
I still consider “old” movies to be maybe the 50s and earlier.
Now 80s movies are the OLD movies :(
I’m surprised I’ve never even HEARD of it.
But I hate that SOB anyway.
