But the Trump could see his presidency end if he fails his upcoming medical test.
What is a ‘boffin’?

Buffing is a Brit term for a really smart guy: A person engaged in scientific or technical research or a person with knowledge or a skill considered to be complex, arcane, and difficult.

Try it out on a few of the Somali pirates. Should be like toasting ants with a magnifying glass!

“Buffering” — another good autocorrect. It changed “boffin” for me.
To: ichabod1
Boffin is Brit word for scientist.
Laser is a line-of-sight weapon. Not much good against other surface vessels I would think.
Perhaps aircraft and missiles are the intended targets.

Interesting. I had not heard it before. Maybe like what we call a maven or a guru here. I thought it was a funny sounding word.

A boffin is a term used for scientist etc by those people in the UK who speak a minority dialect of English.

Apparently IOS doesn’t speak Brit and it decided I really meant to write “buffering” instead of “boffin.” I spend more time unmangling words it has butchered for me.
