Revell had been very good generally at ferreting out aircraft designs. But they missed the boat completely on the stealth fighter. Some hitech writers like Clancy got taken too.I could swear I built an "Aurora" model from Revell back then, too, I think you're right, it was roundish. I'll see what I can find on this internet thingy...

I'm still looking for the roundish UFO-type model I built back then. I may be mistaken on the Aurora name, but I could swear the thing was a round flying saucer with stealth-type exterior paint. Don't remember if it was Testor's or Revell, or some other brand.

I doubt any plane traveling at 4,602 mph could be manned.
Why? The space shuttle traveled at over 17,000 mph.

How in the hell would they know if it does (exactly) 4,602mph?

Yes I know about shuttle velocities, but I am thinking about an atmospheric combat aircraft!

That kind of speed takes a lot of fuel I doubt that it is Top Secret anything. But, if it were, and if I understand correctly, scram jet engines have been in development. I think they are hypersonic and very efficient.

If manned, it likely would not be very manueverable, just fast.
But maybe it would be autonomous. That seems the wave of the future. Save a lot on safety and life support systems.

Yes, any maneuvering and the occupant would be subject to a lot of g forces. That’s why I think it must be an advanced drone.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner! and not a very secure place. Why doesn’t some Freeper who lives near Palm Beach Int’l Raceway drive over there and take some pictures?
