The most popular name for newborn boys in St. Cloud is now Henry. But closing fast is a name that reflects the central Minnesota citys growing diversity Mohamed.
For the first time, Mohamed cracked the most popular boys names in 2017 at the St. Cloud Hospital, which delivers nearly 3,000 babies a year. Sixteen newborn boys went home from the hospital last year with the name Mohamed, which tied with Liam for second place. Eighteen baby boys delivered at the hospital were named Henry.
And for the first time, Salma, an Arabic name, cracked the top 10 list of popular names for newborn girls, hitting No. 9.

Meh.

Not even slightly impressed - those knuckleheads all give their kids the same name!

Sad
still, makes me wanna puke. if you knee understand. It’s an isolated city kinda NW of the cities It’s a place that should have absolutely no Muslims, yet, so many were brought in.
At least the most popular name is not Barack or Osama.
I thought it was Jose.
Diversity is the last word I would use to describe Islam.
Perversity?
St Cloud also has one of the highest densities of Somalis in MN, so I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise, plus Muslims have a significantly higher birthrate than the US average.
Tick...Tock...
Of all the places...do these dark skinned people belong in these northern places? NO. Their skins are darker because their ancestors lived in sunny lands...like Africa. The melanin protects them from the intense sun but in the north they suffer from absorbing less Vit D from the sun because their additional melanin blocks the sun. Thus dark skinned women in the north have a higher breast cancer rate, etc.
So for their own health they need to go back to where they belong.
Followed by Mohammed, Muhamed, Muhumad, and Baraq
I did not know that, but NO they do NOT belong there.
Imagine a quaint Mexican village in the mountains that have their tradition. Would the locals there like to be overrun by a bunch of boisterous Minnesota Viking fans who start popping up sports bars everywhere?
You forgot Mahkmood.
Henry is an odd one. It was old fashioned and out of style, not common, when I was growing up.
As for Mohammed, it would seem an inordinate amount of Muslim male babies are named Mohammed.
Liam as well.
No was was named Liam, or Nigel or Ian. Those are all Limey names.
There’s been some sort of trend toward choosing these British names.
