What: 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, Division 1, Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS)
When: Monday, 1-8-2018, 8:15 Eastern Standard Time
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta GA, TV and Radio: ESPN (yeah I know)
Who: #1 Ranked SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs (13-1), Coach Kirby Smart, versus The #4 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (12-1), Coach Nick Saban. Saban is looking to tie coach Bear Bryant's record 6 national titles.
Why: Why not? I heard the President is attending the game
IMO Alabama has the wrong guy in there for offensive coordinator.
Sometimes it seemed like Saban was the only guy on the AL side who was on top of what was going on. In the fourth quarter, Saban had to call a timeout just before the freshman rookie QB was going to have a penalty for taking too much time. Then, at the 5-second mark on the 15-yard line, Saban had to rescue the team again by calling another timeout just before the rookie freshman QB was about to run out regular play on third down.
You’re telling me the top coach in the business didn’t let his freshman QB call his own plays in OT in the National Title Game? No way! Haha. ;p
