When: Monday, 1-8-2018, 8:15 Eastern Standard Time

Who: #1 Ranked SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs (13-1), Coach Kirby Smart, versus The #4 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide (12-1), Coach Nick Saban. Saban is looking to tie coach Bear Bryant's record 6 national titles.
Why: Why not? I heard the President is attending the game
The receiver did as well in interviews after the game.

Wasn’t that great!
Quite a ride
This time last year he’d just finished his stellar season at Saint Louis high in hawaiii I think
He’s like only 18
A year older than my oldest son
And just won all the marbles and thanked Jesus first
Incredible
I’ve never been a big Hurt fan
He reminded me so much of Tebow. Even has that same throwing motion. Bama’s in good hands.
I hope Hurts can find another position on the team and prosper there.
They also went to the same High School. Tua and Mariota
Watched the game last night, fell asleep a couple times. I saw Trump at the beginning, and Herschel Walker, but I don’t think ESPN sent any footage of Trump watching the game? Did anyone see Trump during the game?
Yes, I wanted GEORGIA to win. And the reality is that Nick Saban had little choice BUT to pull his starting QB since what he was doing was not working. Yet, I think that when viewed through the lens of football history, Saban’s decision to pull Jaylen Hurts will be seen as, as BOLD as General MacArthur’s landing at Inchon!
What was bold, was not replacing Hurts with Tua earlier in the year.
Georgia would have been prepared to face Tua, not Hurts. Instead Tua comes in, and Georgia has no idea as to what is coming.
I think Hurts is a running back as well
I hate to be ugly but Hurts is inarticulate
Tua is but a mere kid
What a start to ones college career
Saban play
At that point he’s calling them trust me
Don’t you imagine?
Kirby said he knew what was coming and that they had practiced for Tua.
Oh, I think they knew there was a possibility Tua would play, but how much scouting had they done on him? Saban didn’t expose him all that much before the game.
Tua played more snaps this year than I remember any second string QB playing. He played enough for Kirby to know tendencies. With the short week for preparations, I am sure Georgia did not have time to do a thorough job. But Kirby said he had no doubt Tua would come in. Kirby knows Saban better than anybody.
Tua and Jalen play so differently. I wonder if Kirby went into the locker room at halftime and told his defense to prepare for Tua.
Saban taught Kirby everything Kirby knows, he didn't teach Kirby everything Saban knows, LOL!
I was wondering if President Trump stayed for the whole game?
I didn’t watch Bama enough with Tua to know what kind of offense they played with Tua, was it mostly in mop-up duty, was the offense more “vanilla” when he was in there? It just seemed to me that Georgia wasn’t fully away of what Tua was capable of.
s/b fully aware
I confess that I did not pay attention. Husband and I would drive to a restaurant to watch the games. By halftime, the games were pretty much in the bag. We would head home and listen to the rest of the game on the radio. Husband has been so busy this season that he would even sleep through that radio broadcast. But he would find the game on the Internet and watch the parts he slept through. Tua was allowed to play with the Ones when he came into a lot of the games. Usually, Saban will take out all of the ones and put in twos and threes. But Tua worked with all of the players.
During bowl preparations, Jalen was sick with the flu. Tua had to be ready to play, and the coaches were obviously confident that he could do it. Kirby had to know about that. During previous years, the Bama media department posted so many practice videos and bowl prep videos. This year, they posted almost nothing.
Oh my gosh, what a second half! Loved it. IMO, these were the two best teams in football battling it out. What a treat.
Let’s hope the NFL Playoffs can deliver this kind of exciting and quality football.
