But she never married Ser Piero da Vinci. Instead she married Antonio di Piero Buti. 8>)

Ser Piero da Vinci was already due to marry another woman, and she was just a one night stand, or perhaps a few nights stand. 8>)

Brilliant man. His attention to detail was incredible. It was typical for him to paint an elaborate scene behind the subject of his paintings. And he was obsessed with the details of the folds of the clothing, shadows.

Then he was a brilliant biologist and engineer.

Mistresses were common to the nobility of the time.

Cosmo would have known, for sure.

"I've been reading this book on Leonardo da Vinci. See, that means 'from Vinci.' Did you know that?"

"Must be some book."

I was on a business trip in Italy and had an opportunity to see the Last Supper. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a grueling, short trip with little time to see the sights. I remember catching my flight in the middle of the night.

Anyway, I am a huge fan. My favorite is The Annunciation.

Mistresses were common to the nobility of the time.

And everyone else.

When you read Manorial court records it seemed that everybody was sleeping around and swiping everything that was not nailed down.
