When Scripture is concerned, a better rule to follow is to be silent when there is no revelation, and trust that God has revealed everything we need to contend for in this world.

We've said similar things on these threads.

We don't have a problem with folks making reasonable conjectures and inferences from Scripture. But to pretend those assumptions, conjectures, inferences are Gospel Absolute Truth is beyond silly and absurd.

It's more than a little arrogant--the kind that tends to come from insecurity due to RAD (Attachment Disorder).

Lots of people presume to put God in lots of intellectual boxes that they absolutely refuse to "let" Him out of.

He won't tolerate boxes--even those He ordered in the Old Testament--He still had exceptions here and there--e.g. David and troops eating the Shewbread without punishment.

Every word of The Bible is unalterably and unchangeably true. However, to presume that we know 100% to the nth degree what each and every word, phrase and sentence totally means--from God's perspecctive--is arrogant.
