I kind of liked the first one because it was...different. Hokey in some parts, but entertaining.
Then the second one came out, I saw that, and...it was okay.
Then the third one came out, and I lost all interest after that one.
Kind of like the Harry Potter thing...first one was...different. Second one...eh. Never paid any attention to it again.

When the second Star Wars movie came out I went to see it with a thoroughly packed theater. It was the special effects for the time that got me. (and I grew up loving anything by Ray Harryhausen!)
