A Reading woman was arrested Monday morning for stabbing her roommate after an argument about candy, police said.Tracy L. Mitchell, 54, of the 400 block of Schuylkill Avenue is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment for what police said took place about 2:30 a.m. inside her apartment.
According to an affidavit of probable cause:
Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Schuylkill Avenue for the report of a stabbing. Police found Mitchell near the home and also found the pocket knife used in the incident.
Investigators found a female victim in the first floor of the apartment building, her leg propped up on a chair with a white cloth wrapped below her knee. A puddle of blood was beneath her leg, and blood was found on the floor in the living room and kitchen. The victim told police that she got into an argument with Mitchell about candy and Mitchell started brandishing a pocket knife in one hand and a picture frame in the other. Mitchell attempted to strike the victim with the picture frame as both females fell to the floor.
As the victim attempted to hold Mitchell on the ground, she was stabbed once in one of her legs with the knife. The females separated, and Mitchell left the apartment, yelling from the street.
Mitchell was arraigned Monday morning before District Judge Kyley L. Scott and was transported to Berks County Prison on $1,000 bail.
The 80s were a strange time long ago. He got into a real mess a few years later when the workplace got more serious.
It’s not about the candy. It’s about disrespecting. (No such word by the way)
Lesbians are sometimes very violent people. It is because their minds are not right.
A knife and a picture frame....never heard that before. It’d be funny if it wasn’t so sad.
Pennsylvania ... always helpful to add the full byline to a local article like this. TIA
What do illiterate police say?
I got it. ;)
