Gene Simmons is being sued by a woman who says the Kiss bassist groped her and made “unwanted, unwarranted sexual advances” during an interview she conducted last month, according to legal documents obtained by TheWrap.

The radio and television broadcaster (identified as “Jane Doe”) is suing for sexual battery, gender violence, battery and assault.

You do realize that women do this also, right? It is a human failing not just men. And, that there are false accusations? I prefer to have proof prior to drawing a conclusion. I admit that there are some cases that seem more or less likely but I am not a party so....

I take full responsibility for my poor choices in my life. I have been in situations that I could have prevented using common sense. Not accepting bad acts but some can be avoided. Some lessons learned and, thus, growth. That is just me, though.

I think the South has the best music from the 70’s, but I might be biased.

I admit to my bias, but I think the Southern California sound (Eagles, Jackson Browne, Tom Petty, and yes, even Linda Rondstadt) was the best music of the seventies.

I do prefer southern politics, of course.

Tom Petty may have moved to California, but he was Southern.

Don Henley is from Texas.

A lot of that “Southern California” sound was Southern in nature, even if they didn’t want to admit it.

Women do it, but not at the rate of men. It’s like being a serial killer, primarily a male hobby. It’s the institutionalization of it that’s the real problem. The people saying “well it’s Gene Simmons what did she expect”. If you really honestly think any woman would expect a particular guy to be like that, what the hell is wrong with us that we don’t drive that person out. I’m not seeing anything she did wrong, it’s a public place, it’s a professional event, being professional and unmolested for an hour doesn’t seem like a crazy expectation.

What’s scary is when you hear things like Lauer’s automatic lock, or Weinstein’s harassment isn’t a valid termination reason contract clause. How does nobody call these things into question? Nobody in facilities or legal says ANYTHING? There’s a systemic problem there. Too much shoulder shrugging.

Hmmm....interesting point.

I think it has more to do with where the music was made than where the people were originally from. Either way, it was defined as "Southern California" at the time.

Stop trying to reappropriate my culture. We too your southern boys and you can't have 'em back.

Well, you can have Rondstadt. We had hot Linda. She's fat and retarded now.

:)

Hmm, I could agree with that somewhat. But I think it's because they were so influenced by country and western.

But can California claim Tom Petty?

I know Rondstadt's album, "Living in the USA"was mostly covers, but that album LIVED on my turntable almost my entire 10th grade year.

Loved Fleetwood Mac back then also, but loved Buckingham Nicks more. They were extremely popular in Alabama and sold out three shows here before they joined the Mac.

I'll cede some ground in the 70's music contest to Southern Cali.

Ahh, thanks for the advice. I should have known to follow the Clinton speak booklet on how to parse words. I’ll have to drag my copy out, and refresh myself ;-P

I think Warren Zevon wrote most of Linda’s hits. My parents loved her albums with Nelson Riddle.

If Tom Petty wanted to do a country album, it would have been a huge hit.

He could do Hank Williams songs justice better than anyone.

If Tom Petty didn’t get the message that Stevie was interested in him from this video, something was wrong!

Yea I may have been stretching it a bit with Petty. I should have put Fleetwood Mac in his place.

But remember, the south does not get to claim country AND western music exclusively. After all it's half western cowboy music.

Let's team up and agree that Southern Cal and Southern rock were superior to Disco, gay rock (Bowie excluded), and stupid music like Tony Oralando and "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia." and crap like that.

The seventies had few bright spots if you ask me.

That'll preach.

I love Stevie Nicks more "country" sounding songs.
