We finally got a bit of rain here in Central Missouri, but it wasn’t enough to do any real good.

I’m off work through the end of year and have a big list of things to get done. Wife and daughter have both been sick and I feel like I’m catching what they’ve had. I’m still not done cleaning my workshop, but it’s better than it’s been in a long time.

I tore out one dilapidated horse stall over the weekend, and replaced one of the main support posts on the open side of the barn. Now I need to pick up some material at the lumber yard to rebuild the stall.

I still need to finish cleaning up the kitchen garden, and prune/spray the orchard trees, but that will all have to wait until I’m feeling a little better.

Sorry to hear you are under the weather - best wishes for a speedy recovery. We also got a small amount of rain.

I have used some duct tape to tape up a 10x20 ft. piece of plastic (thin) above the sliding door. So I have about 7x3 ft enclosed inside the sunroom. I put a small crockpot on the plant cart, and that has given the right amount of humidity.

It has also greatly reduced the electrical output from the heater and keeping the temperature up at night above 50 degrees.

Will be refining this idea for something a little more permanent.

Get well soon! Being sick over the holidays is no fun - we have been there before.
