For those who appreciate the music of the 70's.
I just voted for DS for R&R HOF.
Badfinger was signed to the Bearles Apple Records. I know Paul contributed some harmony vocals on some songs.

No, he did not. He did write and produce their first single, “Come and Get It,” though, and George produced some of their album “Straight Up.”

Thanks for the link, I’ll listen to that now.
“Pain” is the only song of their that I listen to and I know nothing about them in general, but that song I love.
“Day After Day” was our wedding song.
“No Matter What” is an archetypal piece of Power Pop, with a great bridge.
Beautiful song. Always loved it.
Ok, I listened.
Then I had to immediately go and listen to Duane Allman & Cowboy to clear my head!

Guess I’m too old for the new stuff.
These guys served as one of the backing groups for George Harrison’s first solo album “All Things Must Pass”. The solo guitar work sounds like George.

Joey Molland had an uncanny resemblance to Paul McCartney.
Pretty good band, I have all their albums.
great playlist!
Great tune!
Trust me. Im too old as well. But Tarja is such a talent that Im willing to overlook the newness of the Nightwish style to listen to her.
Personally I believe popular music peaked sometime in about the mid-80s and has never recovered. But given that, there will always be musicians who have the talent to rise above the crowd. But I will admit that chasing down those chosen few on YouTube can be a painful experience - a huge wheat-chaff Problem.
One of the best endings to a show in TV history, IMHO. That song helped make it happen.

Straight Up is without a doubt the best album released on Apple not by the Beatles or a Beatle
Their manager screwed them over big time. A real tragedy and they ended up with nothing after 5 years of success. Suicide(s) soon followed.
Sweet Tuesday Morning was always one of my favorites of theirs

Along with Dancing in the Moonlight, it's caught me in the Spotlight and Jailbreak, both by Thin Lizzy
Agree on the mid 80’s things. I have discovered that I like a few songs here and that past that. But I never even turn the radio on any longer.
Not for music anyway!
Two people I thought about pinging to this thread and #29, but didn’t. “You’re presuming they’ll be interested, don’t do it.”
Made my post, came back later to read through, and there you both were anyway. :-)

Or actually a 2-hit wonder. His "Shannon" was popular on the radio, but Simone's my favorite.
And backing up into the late 60s, one of the all time greatest rock songs IMHO -
