Rose McGowan hit out at Meryl Streep on Friday, after the Academy Award-winning actress characterized the Harvey Weinstein accusations as simply 'disrespectful'. Weinsten, a longtime collaborator of Streep's, was fired from his own company in October when dozens of women came forward with frightening stories of being sexually harassed or assaulted by the menacing producer.
Streep spoke about Weinstein, and the other sexual harassment scandals gripping Hollywood, at the Massachusetts Conference for Women on Thursday.
She called the allegations against Weinstein 'the most gargantuan example of disrespect' permeating every industry.
McGowan appeared to take issue with Streep's language, saying in a tweet on Friday that it should have been stronger.
'No Meryl, IT'S A F****** CRIME. You are such a lie # ROSEARMY,' McGowan said.

Well, go Rose McGowan. Meryl Streep did indeed deliberately downplay the accusations against her “god”, Harvey Weinstein. I am glad Rose now has a large public platform to call out Meryl Streep.
I, myself, am still holding a grudge against Meryl Streep for her disrespectful tirade at an awards ceremony last year.

That f****ing birch is on the cover of vogue magazine. I wanted to rip it to shreds at the supermarket today. MERYL STREEP might as well have been holding Harvey’s p***** while he aimed it at the women. SHE KNEW DAMN WELL and even after she ran the gauntlet with him and got her Oscars, she never used her position of fame and money to help even one young starlet. For twenty or thirty years.

Hard to get appreciate her acting skills when confronted with her denigrating hostility year after year.
I have no problem with dissenting views but entertainers should maintain some level of decorum regarding their public persona.
