Burning towards the Getty Center, on the other side of the freeway/
Perhaps the weather is really nice in that area.
Lots of fires in the last few days. Too many to count for natural causes
Arson?
My son lives in Sierra Madre. Can someone tell me if this will be a problem for him?
Please ping me with any Southern California related articles. Thank you!
If you want on or off this ping list, please FReepmail me.
WoW - There’s a giant dust storm right where I live - my white mailbox is coated with a layer of ashes - probably my car too.
I’m right between two of the fires so it’s blowing right into my neighborhood from two sides!
Didn’t even take the dogs out last night b/c the wind was blowing so hard and the air was so dirty.
Stay safe, everyone!!
Back before California was full leftist, the people who know how to prevent fires were permitted to CLEAR BRUSH, and the fires they did have stayed well clear of major towns and cities.
Obviously that’s not the case now.
Videos showing fire in the pass with cars driving by.
I go thru this pass quite a bit and on a good day traffic is backed up and moving slow thru the pass.
500,000 cars pass each other an hour at the 405 & 101 freeway. The 405 is closed thru the pass now....!

Dang, with the 405 closed there was NO TRAFFIC on the north 101 today, it was fantastic. I guess they had to reopen it.
Prayers up for everyone living in the hills affected. But it was nice to not be in stop and creep traffic.
This is what the 405 Freeway morning commute looked like during the Skirball fire
