Cheese is not supposed to be yellow or orange. I am uncertain of why that is done?
It started out as a way to make it distinctive. It has nothing to do with the quality of the cheese.

I hate the taste of cheese and cannot fathom why that crap has to be put on everything. Seems like every restaurant and fast food place has cheese on everything. Menus have a full list of hamburgers all with various cheeses.
And then some restaurants put the crap on top of salads!
Don’t know how many times I have sent food back that they completely ignored my “NO CHEESE” instructions.

So forgive my ignorance: I thought cheddar was an english process...
I noticed they have an alpine cheddar...not sure how that works....
Cheese is a huge mystery to me: milk rennet or acid and time...yet so many different tastes....
