#1 -- Auburn (14-0, national champion)
#8 -- LSU (11-2)
#10 -- Alabama (10-3)
#12 -- Arkansas (10-3)
#15 -- Mississippi State (9-4)
Four of these teams didn't win the division, yet in the other division the SEC East was won by a South Carolina team that finished with a 9-5 record. And LSU ranked higher than Arkansas at the end of the year, but finished behind them in the SEC West standings because Arkansas won their head-to-head matchup.
That FSU team was 4-8 mainly because their starting quarterback was injured in their opening game loss to Alabama. They played the rest of the season with a freshman backup QB. FSU was ranked #3 in the country before that game against Alabama.
look, your a fan I get it.
I just don’t think you can honesty say that bama is 4th best when its not even the best in its own division!!
I was hoping for badger TCU wins, oh well...
MY OPInion if your going to claim a nat title, you should AT LEAST have won a division...
yes FSU lost a few because of that... but other teams lose their key players and don’t totally tank...
