Perhaps, but for me, it’s still way too subjective. With expanded playoff teams at least it wouldn’t be as subjective.

It would be far more interesting and exciting for me as well if it were more teams (8-12) to decide a national champion on par with college basketball’s March Madness. I hope they do expand it.

Maybe it will be better, but it's always going to be subjective no matter how many teams you put in it. Expand it to 12 teams, and there's always going to be a #13 that may deserve to get in. Expand it to 16 teams, and there will always be a #17. Etc., etc., etc.

It's always going to be highly subjective in a sport where they play so few games that the schedules are never going to be balanced.
