We may see South Carolinian James Tradewell again in 1858 when he contributes a piece to a secessionist pamphlet "An Appeal to the State Rights Party of South Carolina".
He is not listed as a famous fire eater, but likely because of being less than famous, not for being reluctant with fire.
As for what citizens imagined of a future war, it seems some did anticipate "blood and fire", for the other side.
