So now we are to think in terms of Budweiser as part of terraforming Mars?
What DNA of microbes will the barley samples take with them, or what possible microbes might they encounter on Mars. What mutations might result when earth microbes meet Martian soil, air and sun energy that gets through its thin atmosphere? And what mutations might result when Mars microbes meet biological life that is new to them?
All such experiments of moving earth-life to Mars should be handled under extremely controlled conditions by scientists, where every biological input and output is identified and measured, and watched for some great period of time.
Brewing beer on Mars is not on any serious science list that any taxpayer money ought to go into.
