What is with this nonsense of destroying perfectly fine 25yo stadiums just to replace them with these multi-billion dollar abstract monstrosities?
Who’s making all the money from these deals?
Check and see if it was paid for by tax payers like the new Santa Clara stadium for the 49’s. That may answer your question.
Other than the Atlanta Falcons? Certainly not the Atlanta taxpayers.
Banksters who send their employees mass emails telling their slaves to vote for The Company; where telling the cube dwellers to vote for the train isn't political... but asking who's going to pay for it, is - and "we don't tolerate political comments on the intranet".
And of course the politician cronies in bed with them.
That who?
The NFL.

The old stadium is dangerously low in traditional advertising per square inch. It is also dangerously low in flashing in your face jumbotron advertising screens. It was determined too many people in the stadium were watching the game.
Why dont you focus on your pointless bullet train and leave us Georgians alone
Having been to some but not all of Detroit's relatively new ( one brand new, the new "Joe" ) Stadium, it is about the experience and part of that is these new Taurus's on the outside that house huge food courts that in the case of the new Red Wings home doubles as a Corporate Venue, I believe their are businesses also within this outside ring. Not to mention new parking structures etc. So much has transpired info tech wise, I wonder if it isn't easier to build a new with provisions for this stuff ( and stuff coming ) and every other mandate ( energy, accessibility, etc ) that every sub-market and person must be considered for their entertainment dollar. Not to mention new "security" concerns...
