Yep, life certainly throws humans lots of curve balls, with dementia being one of them. The only good thing about dementia, if one were to look for a silver lining, is that the person experiencing the dementia in unaware of their behavior. Their only clue is perhaps in moments of clarity being told by someone how they behaved. But that too is soon forgotten. Others who are exposed to the person suffering from dementia are the ones who are suffering more than the person with the dementia. It is heart wrenching I’m sure to watch someone who you adore slowly lose their mental capabilities.
