That is a picture from the first Flintstones movie, yes? Those rocks are Vasquez Rocks, northeast of Santa Clarita, California. When they werent filming the movie, the public was allowed to tour the area. Really fun for those of us who grew up with The Flintstones in prime time.

Got to know Rick Moranis pretty well back in the early mid '90s while at a previous job. He of course played Barney Rubble in the movie. When he was first offered the role he wasn't sure if he would take it. He's since practically vanished from the business. When I knew him he was living alone with his two young kids. He had just recently lost his wife to cancer.
