The republican percentage was the same as the 2013 election.
North Virginia, which is in reality an appendage of the DC swamp, went massively for the Dem and won by like 280K votes.
The candidate won by about 220K.
In other words, only the Washington swamp rats put him over in the state.

Rove's whole assessment of the Virginia election is comical. He supported a candidate who won the GOP primary on the strength of moderate suburban voters and defeated a more conservative challenger who ran strong in the Southwest and Shenandoah Valley (Trump's strongest areas of support in Virginia) ... but then on Election Day the suburbs went for the Democrat while the conservatives in Trump's strongest areas voted overwhelmingly for the moderate Republican.
And somehow this all reflects poorly on Trump? LMAO. Get real, Rove. Your weak candidate just didn't inspire enough people to vote for him.
In one sense I guess it IS Trump's fault. He reminded a lot of Republican voters just how badly these career political hacks really suck.

In other words, only the Washington swamp rats put him over in the state. Add the thousands of McAuliffe's new Felon-voters to the voter rolls.
