I saw a tweet saying at least some of the people killed were Trump voters.
As for self inflicted gunshot, I don’t buy it. If he was willing to shoot himself why did he run when he was being shot at?
I live Trump’s statement that someone was shooting in the opposite direction.
What is also weird is that I have yet to see any survivors interviewed. I know it’s a very small church but he didn’t kill them all. You know the media is crawling all over that place. Then again, if it was me, I’d prolly hide out from the media too.
My local Pittsburgh station was running stories on the Texas shooting twice every half hour on the morning news.
Tampa Bay Times’ facebook blurb “what we know about the shooter” lists as its first point, “he was a white male.”
Now I’m seeing more enemedia covering it. Chris cuomotose just interviewed the sheriff who said “were going to do what we have to do”, leaving Chris to figure that one out on his own.
At least it’s getting coverage of sorts. Thanks for everyone’s input.
Gov. Abbott on FNF just told the hosts. that D Kelly had been denied a permit. No permit but still had his gun; and used it. period. Not wishing to step on the toes of law enforcement, this is all the Governor would say.

As far as I know, one doesn’t need a permit to purchase in Texas.
Agree. Saw on FOX he’d shot himself but call me a conspiracy nut thinking the good folk in TX are covering for the neighbor. They’ve kept the neighbor’s ID hushed up for a certain reason.
The headlines would be all about a HATE CRIME is this guy had gone into a mosque.

There was an older lady yesterday interviewed. There were only about 50 in attendance. There were 26 killed and another 20 wounded so one would imagine they aren’t being interviewed because most are dead or in a hospital bed or at the hospital with their loved ones.
Fox and CNN were reporting on it all day Saturday. Something spooked them to spike the story.

Agree. The civilian with the rifle managed to shoot the guy in a small vulnerable area not covered by body armor (according to some reports). That’s probably what caused the shooter to die as he was driving. The car went out of control.

Lots of actual details we don’t know.
But someone else may purchased it for
him. Just speculation on my part.
I was wondering the same thing. However, maybe DOD offenses are not included in the background check? But, dishonorable discharges show up on background checks and thus disqualify one from possessing firearms, so why wouldn’t DOD offenses be included, as well?
I just don’t know.
