Agree. The civilian with the rifle managed to shoot the guy in a small vulnerable area not covered by body armor (according to some reports). That’s probably what caused the shooter to die as he was driving. The car went out of control.

If the president knew of this detail or just figured out the likelihood of it by who was targeted and where, I am now more fully understanding his comment saying something like “This was more than a gun thing” or “This isn’t a guns thing.” I can just imagine he’d have some extra feeling for the victims knowing they were hated and perished simply for being Christian supporters of his.
