I had this old Black & Decker set of tools, bought it a decade ago. They sat behind some other stuff and I forgot about them.
One of those combo sets: drill, sander and jigsaw. `Fire Storm’, but 12 volt batteries. You know, one of those multi-tool things that do three things, but none very well?
But I never used them, and found them a while back while doing barn cleanup. They are like new right out of the box.
Lost the charger! B&D doesn’t make the charger any more. You can buy them on e-bay or whatnot—if you pay a scalper ...

So I put my thinking cap on. I crimped some flexible 1/4” copper pipe, slipped them on the battery terminals, snapped on a one amp trickle charger, and it worked!
It’s the little things in life that make it all worthwhile, know what I’m sayin’?
