I’m not voting for the “RINO King”. Forget it. I’m sitting it out. I will not give Rovian RINO Gillispie and the Establishment global cartel the satisfaction. Uniparty people should be D’s and not R’s. 4 years from now we can try it again.
For the Democrat Party to die, Hollywood, the MSM, and the universities must die.
I’d say they’re well on their way.
I think the D’s take both. Sorry.
Who. Ares who wins. These are the type of Repukes who will bad mouth Trump first chance they get. This isn’t really a win, it’s just replacing D for R and in a few weeks you’ll start hearing of Repukes governors demand Obamacare funding etc.
Not going to happen. Dems win in NJ and VA.
I believe that VA should be a cakewalk win for the R if they had run a MAGA candidate. Fact they are running a GOPe candidate mean The D probably will hold it. NOVA turnout will be down, but I am not convinced a GOPe guy can get the “MAGA” voters to turn out like they will need to in the red counties to win even with the NOVA drop off.
Haven’t followed NJ so won’t say anything there.
But if democrats can’t win VA with a GOPe as the R they are in bigger trouble.
The political elites and media don’t get it yet but the main struggle in America today isn’t R v D it’s MAGA vs everyone else... and if voters are choosing GOPe over D when MAGA isn’t available their geographical limitations will continue to dwindle
I will be voting for all of the Republican candidates in Virginia’s off year election. Voter turnout will be critical since participation will likely be light.
“Perfection is the enemy of good” and while the top of our ticket is not nearly conservative enough for me, the rest of the ballot needs our support.
Those who show up make the rules.
Virginia has some strong Republican organizations.
Winning with a Republican governor gives them room to operate and make improvements.
Would not happen otherwise.
I can understand the reluctance for voting for Ed. As we see, GOPe are comrades in arms with the Dems working to thwart President Trump. Id hate to see Northam win due to low turnout though.
My daughter lives in Virginia. We’ve already discussed her votes. Gillespie and Vogel. Most of the downticket offices are unopposed. I usually don’t even bother to vote for those since they will win anyway.
I know just enough about Gillespie to know that I’m not a big fan, nor am I a fan of the establishment, but the utter destruction of the democrat party is the more worthy goal.
We can never underestimate the left...
heck at least people should get out and vote, so even if Dems win both they actually have to work for it.
Also maybe other local issues to vote on.
Unfortunately, even if the dem party dies, the moronic trash that make up the party remains. I look for a segment to throw off the pretense and declare themselves socialist democrats with Bernie as their idol. A Black Panther Party for radical blacks will emerge.
We moved to VA from New Jersey to escape the chaos of that once beautiful state.
Now, we are witnessing the great state of Virginia, which I thought would be our refuge, becoming the New Jersey of the South.
I could cry. I not only am voting for Ed, but I donated to him. I know who Ed is from his days as RNC leadership, yet I shall NEVER vote for a D, and I sure as he!! will not stay home.
I think the Republicans have a chance in Virginia but not in New Jersey.
I would love for the Democrats to lose both to keep their losing streak since Trump was elected going strong. The last thing any of us should want is for the Democrats to build any sense of enthusiasm among their base going into the Congressional elections next year.
Luckily for Gillispie the democrat Northram has all the personality of a dead shrub.
If the dems had chosen someone with personality and charisma Gillispie would be dead meat. Northram isn’t exciting the few hard core democrats I know.
Ed Gillispie isn’t my first choice but I will be damned if I let a leftist whacko like Northram win because my first choice didn’t make the cut.
Even if I have to hold my nose I will be voting for Ed Gillispie on Nov 7.
Virginia can’t take two democrat governors in a row.
My (New Jersey) county and the one adjoining to the south will go R, but most of the rest will vote RAT. Murphy (D) has promised to raise taxes, and will have the legislature he needs to do so. I wonder if our two counties can secede? Build a wall, maybe!
If it be Your will to grant it, Lord God Almighty, let the people repent and receive Your favor. Amen.
If I lived in either state, I would vote for the Republican candidates. They would agree with my views 70% of the time rather than 0% of the time. To some of you, a candidate that you agree with r ur f just it ur to
Yes, vote Republican.
