One of these days Im going to do a platelet donation.

Just curious, but why would you need to order blood type kit? I would think that if you get annual physicals with any type of routine blood tests, it should be on it or you can ask your doctor to have your blood typed.
If first learned my blood type when I donated blood while still in HS and donated a couple of times a year for many years. I recently started donating again and it is printed on my blood donor card.
I have very optimistic blood —B+
Doctor??
The last time I saw a doctor was about ‘95.
I suppose I should do a check up soon, but like my neighbor says if you take care of yourself and eat right then that’s all ya got!
“I would think that if you get annual physicals with any type of routine blood tests, it should be on.”
I don’t think that’s part of routine screenings. If you end up in an E.R. with blood loss, no matter what your wallet may say they are gonna type and screen you. Protect their butts and rightfully so.
Did some research on CMV. Did realize it was that prevalent. Up to 50% to 80% of people over 40.
Thank you so much for donating!!!
