An upcoming memoir from Sen. John McCain has taken on new meaning since he first decided to write it.
“The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights, and Other Appreciations” is scheduled to come out in April, Simon & Schuster told The Associated Press on Friday. The publisher quietly signed up the book in February, without any formal announcement. In July, McCain disclosed he had been diagnosed with brain cancer and last month he said the prognosis was “very poor.”

To me McCain is like a cadaver prepared for viewing. The removal of blood and organs equates to the trading away of honor and moral authority. The reputation that remains is like the cosmetics applied for viewing a corpse at the funeral. The final result is tragic, but we should not have suffered such pathetic and contemptible modern day Macbeths or Hamlets.
Besides his problems of granting amnesty to illegal aliens, joining Democrats to undermine Republican leadership for judicial appointments (Gang of Fourteen), and restricting freedom of speech, he has proven himself severely deficient in the areas of national security and integrity.
John McCain lacks leadership for the War on Terror. His leadership codified the Army interrogation manual fabricating legal combatants for terrorists who are beyond the pale according to the Geneva Conventions. His leadership granted terrorists American citizenship rights under Fifth, Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments. He thereby ensured information vital to defeat terrorists would always remain sacred and unobtainable.
Terrorists are unresponsive to direct questioning and psychological gambits. Therefore, interrogators need all stress and coercion techniques our military encounters in survival schools. However, McCain has chosen to embrace liberal orthodoxy considering those methods torture, and suppress the searing experiences calls forth contrary insights.
McCain duplicity is on display because he understands the impossibility of fabricating an association of terrorists with Common Article Three of the Geneva Conventions. Because when they do participate in international armed conflict they embrace the most barbaric criminality, and do not meet any definition of legitimate armed forces.
McCain understands that Article 13 of the First and Second Geneva Conventions and Article Three of the Fourth Convention must be consulted. He knows terrorists are not insurgents or freedom fighters; when captured, certainly not prisoners of war. They are not armed forces, militias, or volunteer corps of any country or authority. These killers are not members of organized resistance movements carrying arms openly. They have no distinctive identifier. Terrorists cannot even qualify as spies or saboteurs destroying infrastructure required to support military operations.
McCain understands the Geneva Conventions intended to isolate such forces, provide them few protections, and allow destruction with any overwhelming furies needed to crush their abominations. Knowing these factors, he promised to close Guantanamo Bay and invited terrorists into our legal system. He decided to accommodate their extraordinarily savage behavior among the civil crimes of our country, and render Posse Comitatus a crumbling deception.
McCain especially appreciates from our Constitution that laws guaranteeing civil liberties presupposes operation within an invincible society. He understands Alexander Hamilton’s words that the reality of devastating, unforeseeable perils must lead deliberations about national security. The primary responsibility of the Federal government’s three branches is to pursue Hamilton’s admonition that defensive powers exist without limitation; providing capabilities thwarting looming dangers as well as responding to attacks. McCain understands powerful warfare capabilities require potent intelligence acquisition and exploitation before and throughout military campaigns.
Actually, based on the interview in the hall with the General, he looked dazed and confused and he is slurring ha words, so the tumor is obviously coming back. I think, unless there is another operation, he is in his last days,? Too bad he is behaving badly

He is writing this, supposedly, with one Mark Salter who was his chief of staff and ran his flop 2008 presidential campaign. Salter publicly supported Hillary Clinton last fall. This is the type of people who are running the establishment Republican Party on Capitol Hill - first class, low class bums, just like McCain.

Look, like many of you, I’m not comfortable trying to tear down a former pilot & occupant of the Hanoi Hilton but if what certain former POWs say is true, McCain was not subjected to any torture at all when he agreed to spout North Vietnamese propaganda.
