FULL TITLE: High school football coach 'told players to taunt boy with lesbian parents on the opposing team by asking him "who's your daddy?"'
A high school football coach has been accused of telling players to taunt a boy on the opposing team during a game about his lesbian mothers.
Duane Greaton, 49, left his position at Gray-New Gloucester High School in Gray, Maine, as a result of the allegations this week.
He allegedly instructed the boys on his team to taunt a teenager from Yarmouth High School, their opponents, during their game last Friday.
Players said that before the game began, Greaton told them to tell him: 'Who's your daddy?' whenever he was tackled.
The players told their parents about his instruction and they then notified the targeted boy's mothers, Stephanie and Lynn Eckersley-Ray, to inform them.
Neither Greaton nor Gray-New Gloucester High School has commented on the allegations.
Stephanie Eckersley-Ray told local newspaper The Press Herald she was grateful for the parents on the other team for telling them about what Greaton allegedly said.
None of the boys followed the instruction, they said.
'We found out because some Gray parents and players stepped forward and we are extremely thankful to them.

What’s the problem?
There are lesbians in Maine?
The problem is high school coaches should not be egging their players on in taunting the opponent - except by exhibiting superior playing skills.
Wait a minute, I thought football was a “manly” sport and it’s well know that jocks egg each other on. What? That other guy can’t take it? Sounds like he can’t cut it and needs to hang up his cleats and get off the field.
Exactly. It’s called “unsportsmanlike conduct”, and it has no part in any game regardless of whether it’s a player or a coach that does it. And it’s not the kid’s fault that he is being raised by Lesbians.
Coach will be changing his tune from “Who’s your daddy?” to “Where’s my Unemployment Check?”
Nooooooo! No! Don't even go there! Aauuuggghhh!
Football is supposed to be “manly”, but taunting over such BS as this is far from “manly” - it is bullying the kid over something he cannot control.
Being “manly” on the field includes the sportsmanship concept of letting your play do the talking. Getting your own teammates hyped up is fine - but belittling your opponent for things that are completely out of their control is idiotic.
Just my $.02, but IMO the coach is way out of bounds here. He’s sanctioning the lesson that mouthing off is part of the game - and it never should be.
The purpose of this article is to normalize perversion and generate sympathy for perverts. The purpose of normalizing perversion is to undermine and degrade the civil society, transferring more power to the State.
The issue is never the issue. The issue is always The Revolution.
That’s sick.
Lol. Sorry for the kid but the answer to “who’s your daddy” was one of the first questions that comes to mind.
“Uh, moms? Who IS my daddy?”
I remember being very amazed by Muhammed Ali’s boxing ability early in his career, but as I got older, I began to dislike his trash talking. I have since come to view his conduct as the precursor to the public trash talking we see now. (As long as there have been sports, there has been trash talking, just not public and accepted.
Later in life, I looked at those fights in retrospect and had far more respect for guys like Joe Frazier, who appeared to want to do his talking with his fists.
I hate this aspect of sports. I love it when I see an athlete act like they have been successful before when they make a play.
I disagree. But I will take it up with the coach once I find out what his freeper screen-name is.
“your momma wears combat boots!” was said in the old days!!
So freaking what???
Now this...kids are just freaking snowflakes that can’t take it.
Tell the kid to play ball or get off the field.
Never been there, I take it.
We disagree, somewhat.
Yes, the recipient of the taunts needs to toughen up and respond by playing even better.
I dislike the message being sent to the players whose coach prompted them to trash-talk.
Have a great day, FRiend.
