“demanding more luxury” ha. make a quality pickup with stick shift, no gps or black box, rollup windows or fakebook at a realistic price and it would break sales records.

They do. They're called "fleet trucks" and most dealers sell them.

How many people can drive a manual now?

I have one of maybe little over half dozen manual Tacomas in the SE.

True dat.

Light, powerful, decent cloth seats, good tires and five on the floor, $25k and they would sell them all day.

That’s what I bought, used of course, and auto transmission, drat.

Agreed add vent windows and offer 4x4 as an option . They wouldn’t be able to keep them in stock.

My ‘96 F-150 runs great and has all the options I need, power windows, cruise control, A/C, and even looks great.

Sold a like-new, $48k new, Silverado Duramax to get the XLT when I retired - and love it.

I think you are wrong. People want the bells and whistles.

Even in pickup trucks.

That would be my current truck but it is 15 years old.

That's me. Give me dead reliable mechanicals, a bench seat, places to plug stuff in, headrests low enough that I can keep my hat on, good towing mirrors, am/fm and a/c and I'll buy. I hate all the entertainment center/Big Brother crap.

My 2008 F-150 has rubber floors, roll up windows, manual locks, manual transmission. But don’t think it spares the luxuries! It has BOTH AM AND FM on the radio, and a cigarette lighter too! Standard!
