ESPN Host Compares Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones To A Slave Owner
AP via The Washington Times ^ | 10/10/17 | Bradford Richardson

On the same day that Jemele Hill was suspended from ESPN for tweeting about politics, another network personality, Michael Wilbon, compared Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to a slave owner.

Mr. Wilbon, co-host of “Pardon the Interruption,” took issue with Mr. Jones’ stance that players who do not stand for the national anthem before football games will not play.

“And the word that comes to my mind―and I don’t care who doesn’t like me using it―is plantation,” Mr. Wilbon said on Monday’s show. “The players are here to serve me, and they will do what I want. No matter how much I pay them, they are not equal to me. That’s what this says to me and mine.”

ESPN declined to comment on Mr. Wilbon’s remarks.

The take-a-knee protests roiling the NFL escalated once again on Sunday, when Vice President Mike Pence walked out of the Indianapolis Colts-San Francisco 49ers game, after 23 members of 49ers did not stand for the anthem.

Later that day, after his team’s loss to the Green Bay Packers, Mr. Jones told reporters that players who refuse to stand the anthem will be benched.

Have you ever watched the nfl combine? The only thing they don’t do is check their teeth.

Slaves making millions of dollars each year. Fancy that!

Who is forcing these player to play football in Dallas? They can play in Canada, the Arena Football League or find another line of work.

Employers have every right to stop employees from engaging in behavior that alienates customers.

Wilboun is truly knucklehead.

By Wilbon’s standard, every black employee of a business owned by a white person is ‘a slave’ on a ‘plantation’.

This kind of inane racial hostility by well-paid blacks such as Wilbon and the multimillionaire NFL players ‘taking a knee’ to show their disrespect for the American flag, has grown tiresome.

Wilbron’s complaint should be met with an offer by ESPN to Wilbon to vacate his position if he feels ‘oppressed’.

This is ESPN being PC, like the NFL, as their business attenuates. Sad but also quite stupid.

Does that make me a “plantation” person too (and everyone that works in corporate America?)?

Nope because you're not being forced to work there nor are NFL players being forced to work for Jerry Jones or in the NFL.

Michael Wilbon should hang his head in shame. There are real slaves in this world working as prostitutes who are terrified of their masters, farm workers in the middle east who work until they drop, slaves throughout SE Asia, and trafficked boys, girls, BABIES, TODDLERS for sexual gratification by the most base disgusting “humans” imaginable.

What a vile man comparing highly paid entertainers who can quit at any time and take themselves elsewhere to people who are in fear for their lives.

The Left’s conversation has degenerated into the slave master myth. This is another variation of the class warfare the Left has been waging since Marx issued the theory of class struggle. America is sick and tired of this cesspool of political ideology stinking up the political landscape. It is ideology that is as failed as the pathetic parrots who voice it like the Chatty Cathie’s from the toy aisle.

“Tell me a story!”

Yes. They should be free to explore other opportunities, to seek employment where their political views will be appreciated!!

When those football players are down on their knees, they look like they are picking cotton. The next time you see one on his knees, throw a cotton ball at him.
