Girardi was roundly booed when introduced.
OK
So Tanaka has given him 7 shut out innings.
Big decision coming up.
Yanks win 1-0.
Got some good series on our hands.
Yep
Chapman was lights out amazing, a rain out tomorrow would be huge for their chances of taking the next 2.
Is he the best, or what?! Mookie was a second baseman when he was acquired by the Red Sox. Dustin Pedroia had the 2nd base job covered for years to come, so the Portland (Maine) Sea Dogs (AA Boston Red Sox) trained Mookie to be an outfielder. Because he's such an unusually gifted natural athlete, he's excelled in that position as well.
Great game today! Hope the Sox can keep the momentum going.
I wish Cleveland swept the damn Yankees tonight though.
Whoa, look at all those all caps!
Do you like to see your fellow diehard conservative FReeper FRiends in the northeast cry as well? Are you perhaps wishing us an extra-hard winter?
Excuse me while I pack up everything I own and abandon my home, my family and our jobs here in the northeast so I can move to Tennessee. Didn't realize we northeastern folks offend you so much.
If you're an admitted non-sports fan, why don't you let those of us who actually ARE sports fans enjoy a little fun on threads like this?? This thread has virtually nothing to do with politics.
BTW, all of the Boston Red Sox players *stand* for our national anthem.
Happy that the Red Soxs survive and live to play another game, weather permitting today.
Boston won a laugher yesterday. Today’s game is threatening a lengthy rain delay.
Yes, and Porcello (ugh!) was working very slowly in that first inning. Remnants of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Nate up here in the northeast today. We desperately need the rain though.
Go Red Sox!
Oops—Farrell tossed. I need to stop reading the lips of angry players and managers.
Manager John Farrell gets tossed by home plate umpire Mark Wegner! Very questionable strike zone by Wegner... UGH!
;-)
John Farrell let loose a F’n BS tirade too...
Rain really threatening now...
Nate still lives. Well, sort of...
Fenway Faithful pumped and LOUD! Good game.
Right now I am wondering if this it for the Red Soxs. The Astros keep coming back.
Been raining for a while.
Oh well, the Red Soxs season is over.
