...Blade Runner 2049 Tickets Go On Sale Friday; Opening In The $43M-$47M Range....
PHOOEY!!!! More useless garbage from Hollywood! Stay away!!!!
Harrison Ford is back? I guess his character is NOT a replicant, after all. (Or they’ll have to explain why he’s an old man.)
Sequels are rarely, if ever, as good as the original.
Opening In The $43M-$47M Range....
Who would pay $43 dollars let $43 million to a movie?
Missed the first version, 0 for 2 now
Inflation.
Do refugees dream of electric sheep?
I think that's it. lol
Yeah, the suits messed badly with the first film.
It still worked well, though. The theatrical release was not nearly as deep as the director’s cut, but there were some touches that were forced by time & budget constraints from the studio money guys that made it better to moviegoers.
Those touches were missing from the director’s cut, which is a shame, but the resulting movie was much more thought-provoking and less trite.
Even if Hollywood put out something that WASN’T a sequel, remake, or retarded crap they wouldn’t get my money because they’re all leftist enemies. I can’t think of any reason why we should support them in any way.
With all that said, I like the looks and feels of the sequel. It looks to be worth the money.
Easy. Replicants live only as long as their telemeres allow at the end of their DNA strands.
Id Harrison’s character was given extra long telemeres then he would live much longer.
It takes a replicant to catch a replicant.............
That's just plain batty.
Replicants are extreme humans. Much greater strength, stamina and speed.
The candle that burns twice as bright lasts half as long...........
But I have to admit the trailer for this is seriously sweet!
May have to watch the Russian bootleg instead of waiting for the DVD rip.
“Harrison Ford ... is very vocal about how he hated being a part of the original Blade Runner.”
For those who don’t know:
Ford went so far as attempting to sabotage the film.
When the studio insisted the theatrical release include a “Film Noir” detective-style voiceover, narrated by Ford, he deliberately did it badly with the intention of ruining the movie. He was _that_ vocal about hating it.
(Fortunately, subsequent releases dropped the voiceover, and the “Blade Runner: The Final Cut” version took extensive steps to clean up & complete the movie to perfect the director’s vision.)

“Who would pay $43 dollars”
I own the limited-edition “suitcase” release of the “final cut” version. Yeah, it was that good.
While I won’t go to the theater for the sequel (unless it’s 3D), the release on disc will probably prompt me to buy a 4K display, matching disc player, and the 2-movie bundle when released in UltraHD.
Yeah, it’s gonna cost me at least $43.
