Bono: U2 Delayed Album Because Trump Disrupted the ‘Moral Arc of the Universe’
Breitbart ^ | 9/20/17 | Jerome Hudson

U2 frontman Bono unloaded on President Donald Trump in a Rolling Stone interview published Wednesday, revealing that his Irish rock band’s new album will take on the “bully on the bully pulpit” because “silence is not an option.”

In January, U2 founding guitarist The Edge revealed that “Songs of Experience,” the band’s follow-up to its platinum-selling 2014 album “Songs of Innocence,” was delayed because of Trump’s election. Now Bono says “there’s a couple of reasons why we delayed Songs of Experience. One personal, one political.”

“The world around us was certainly changing out of all recognition, we nearly lost the European Union, something that has helped keep the peace in our region for nearly 70 years,” Bono told Rolling Stone

I almost went to their show a few months ago, but after reading Bozo’s stupid political comments, I decided to keep my money.

Bono, when you concentrate on love, relationships, and matters of the heart, it’s poetry and beautiful. I’ve enjoyed so many of your works over the years. But Trump is transient. Your music directed at him won’t stand the test of time.

I heard one of the Beach Boys on a drive time show, and a caller said he was out in Kali at the place where they first played.

The guy responded "There are a lot of those places where we "first played"..."

Bono said Trump’s election marked, “for the first time in many years, maybe in our lifetime, the moral arc of the universe, as Dr. King used to call it, was not bending in the direction of fairness, equality and justice for all.”

I bet he thinks that letting anyone who wants to come into Europe and the United States is all fine and dandy. But will he live in these neighbourhoods where they congregate?

haha. What a pack of Gilligans. Wait, this guys NAME is "The Edge?"

That's it! I'm changing my name to, "The Circumference of My Sphincter." My pronouns are Dr. Cool, Hugh Mungus, and Hillary's Enormous Ankles.

Stick THAT in your pocket, Bono!

I think they're having trouble putting together something that people would actually pay for, so they have to appeal to their remaining fans by pulling out the TDS card, knowing that all the lefty LSM and critics will echo the excuse.

I guess Bono being relegated to the #2 #2, couric-wise, took its toll.

The irony is that Bozo has enough surviving brain cells to realize that America’s greatest gift to the world is the concept of wealth creation through entrepreneurship. And even has said so publicly. The nonsequitir stems from the fact that he has too few functioning synapses to realize that Trump 45 is the greatest entrepreneur to ever hold office of POTUS.

They haven’t had anything good since “The Joshua Tree” - “Rattle and Hum” was at best so-so. (circa 1990) Everything since then has been a Bono love song to himself and I stopped paying attention to what was at one time my favorite band.

Bono, that’s only because it was arcing contrary to 4,000 years of inherited wisdom and sorely needed disrupting. Oh, and your album? Phhhhttt! That’s the sound you’ll be making into the seat of your wheelchair as you drool abandoned in the corner of the rest home.
