I was listening to Elvis today and thinking, That was 60 years ago. That would be like 1920 music in 1980. There is an advantage to 50s 60s and 70s music though. Nothing better came afterwards, so it should last a millenia.

It's interesting to hear teenagers singing songs like Harlem Shuffle in 2017. It would be like my classmates singing songs like Tell That to the Marines when I was a teenager.

I remember watching a football game a few years ago where the half-time entertainment was the Rolling Stones. That band had been around over fifty years. It was the equivalent of having half-time entertainment for the first Super Bowl provided by the Clicquot Club Eskimos.
