That is the truth. Most all of them had a off season job and no one minded it. In fact I remember George Blanda worked for some railroad shipping company and ended up getting his 20 years in for a pension while he was still playing pro ball.
And Roger Staubach has made a lot more money from his Real Estate business than he ever made from playing football.
