I have a good black friend whotold me that several white back for many generations friends of hers have been told by the DNA people they have black ancestors...
she said that many cant all have African families..
I think someone was playing a stupid game with them...
Ancestry wont change their “paper” records when they are wrong...I wouldn’t trust them to do DNA...
most reputable hereditary societies wont accept records from Ancestry for proofs for membership as they don’t source their info and have blatant errors...

Yes, I get it with your post. Southern Italy was settled by Celts from the north and Greeks from the south, but of course there were raids from other places. Glad you got the info you were seeking.
I share the same curiosity — I know the national origin of several great- and great-greats, but I also know their nations were subject to raids in ancient times— one or two towns in particular— and I’d like to know about what lies beneath the label, so to speak.
As an example (not me), there are now a lot of Arabs and Africans who are born in UK and are British citizens; but their descendants would probably want to know more.
